I originally tried building this site with WordPress, Framer, and Webflow, but everything either felt restrictive, overwhelming, or complicated. At the time, I didn’t know React, CSS, JavaScript, or how websites were actually made. I just had ideas, references, and perseverance. So I started building the site from scratch. The final version is built with Next.js, Tailwind, Sanity, GSAP, Framer Motion, and a collection of tools added over time. A large part of the process was learning how everything connects: layouts, rendering, motion, responsiveness, CMS structure, routing, performance, and interaction design all affecting each other at once. The majority of the early ideas never made it into the final version. Entire sections were rebuilt repeatedly, countless animations were removed, and designs were simplified after breaking multiple times. After countless iterations, mistakes, and rebuilds, this is the final version. Below is a breakdown of the process, tools, architecture, animations, and decisions that shaped the final site.
